1. About Connectmodo

Connectmodo Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a company incorporated in New Zealand. We operate an AI-powered business coaching platform designed to help small and medium-sized businesses (“SMEs”) grow and improve. By registering for and using Connectmodo, you agree to these Terms & Conditions in full.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement to use our services. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet these requirements.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us immediately at support@connectmodo.com if you suspect any unauthorised use of your account.

4. Subscription Plans & Billing

Connectmodo offers a free tier and a Pro plan at $20/month. Pro plan subscriptions are billed monthly and renew automatically. You may cancel at any time through your billing settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no partial refunds are provided.

The Pro plan is subject to a fair use policy. We reserve the right to limit usage that is excessive or disruptive to other users.

5. AI Coaching — Important Disclaimer

Connectmodo provides AI-generated coaching and business guidance for informational and educational purposes only. The content produced by our AI coach (“Alex”) does not constitute professional financial, legal, accounting, investment, tax, or any other form of regulated professional advice.

You acknowledge that all outputs from the platform are general in nature and may not be accurate, complete, or suitable for your specific circumstances. You should always seek the advice of suitably qualified professionals before making any significant business, financial, or legal decisions.

Connectmodo Limited accepts no responsibility or liability whatsoever for any loss, damage, cost, or consequence — whether direct, indirect, or consequential — arising from reliance on any content, output, recommendation, or guidance generated by the platform.

6. User Indemnity

By using Connectmodo, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Connectmodo Limited, its directors, employees, agents, and successors from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or in connection with:

Your use of or reliance upon any advice, guidance, or output generated by the platform;
Any business decision you make based on content produced by the AI coaching service;
Your breach of these Terms & Conditions;
Your violation of any applicable law or regulation;
Any third-party claim arising from your use of the service.

This indemnity survives the termination or expiry of your account and these Terms.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Connectmodo to:

Generate content that is unlawful, harmful, defamatory, or fraudulent
Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the platform
Violate any applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations
Impersonate any person or entity
Use the service for any purpose other than your own legitimate business needs

8. Intellectual Property

All platform content, branding, software, and design is the intellectual property of Connectmodo Limited. You retain ownership of any business information you provide. By using the platform, you grant us a limited licence to process your inputs solely to provide the service.

9. Data & Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please read our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your personal data.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, Connectmodo Limited shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service, including any loss of profit, revenue, data, or business opportunity.

Our total aggregate liability to you under these Terms shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to us in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or the Fair Trading Act 1986 (New Zealand), to the extent those Acts apply.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by email or via an in-app notice at least 14 days before changes take effect. Continued use of Connectmodo after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand. You irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand for the resolution of any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the platform.
